~coming~

2014 is coming. I only have two days left of 2013. I have been thinking about goals to set for this new year. I've been thinking about my upcoming events and trips.
I'm determined to have straight A's by the end of the school year.
I hope to play lot's and lot's of softball. To get more specific, I hope to play catcher a lot. I didn't get a lot of catching time in the fall season, and catcher is where I am comfortable. Catcher is where I shine.
I'll be having my sweet sixteen birthday this year. Really, it's only about two months away. I'm looking forward to this exciting day.
I'll be half way through high school in June. It's hard to believe. I've enjoyed high school so much, and I really don't want to leave.
I have set up my 2014 calendar, and I am ready for what ever the new year has to throw at me.

~time~

Time has passed. A considerable amount, I might add. I have checked, and the last time I posted was February of this year. I just haven't been very motivated to make a blog post. But now I'm back. So what have I done in these past 10 months?

March- I turned fifteen and that has been so much better than being fourteen. It's been amazing.

April-We celebrated Easter up in Rhode Island and it was lovely seeing my grandparents, and other family members.

May-Stella had her fourteenth birthday. I've been trying to get along a little better with her.

June- I managed to complete freshman year of high school. It was tough, but I did it. Stella finished middle school so she was able to join the high school community. I got to see my first Baltimore Orioles game, and it was awesome. They won, which makes it even better.

July- This was the best. I got to go to the softball world series in Salisbury. Even though I had to get up at 5:45, and even though we didn't win, I had such a great time! And really, we made it halfway through the competition. Then about a week later, I got to see my first Washington National's game.

August- This was our relaxing month. But I did get to go to a falconry camp in Pittsburgh, and it was blast. I got to hold a Lanner Falcon, and it was one of the most exciting moment's of my summer. I later got to see the Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Miami Marlins. Later that month, Stella got to ring the national anthem at a National's game. I almost caught Jason Werths' three run homer, but it landed in the seat behind me.

September-We took our annual trip to Cape Cod and as usual, we had a great time. I started the 10th grade and Thursday classes started up. It felt great to see all my friends again and to start making some new one's as well.

October- For Halloween I dressed up as my made up superhero Solarbeam. I started to really focus on my school work. I am determined to get straight A's.

November-We decided to go camping for Thanksgiving. It was fun, but I think I left our camper a total of three times.

December-My Dad's birthday has come and gone, and today is Christmas. I have given gifts, like a Pirates jersey from my mom, and I've received great gifts, like Tardis socks in my stocking.

I plan to be a more vivid blogger this coming year.

~week~

Ok. Just one more week untill i'm fifteen. The last week of waiting, for pretty much anything, is always the longest. It just never seems it's going to get here quick enough.
From now untill March 6th, I have to go to the dentitst, go on a trip to New York with my Mom, school, two or three softball practices, and that's acually it. That should mean this time will go even slower because I don't have much to so between now and then. Oh well.

~fourteen~

Well, I've got just nine days left of age fourteen. Then I'll be fifteen. It's hard to believe. It doesn't seem like a year since I turned fourteen. Time sure does fly by.
Age fourteen: On a scale from 1-10 (with ten being the best) I'd give it a seven and a half. It wasn't great. I had my bad days, but it seemed there we less than the year before. Luckly, I had much more good days.
I got to finish 8th grade, whoch was a relief. Thoose three years of middle school, I seemed to hit a low. I wasn't as happy, eispecally at church. In 6th grade my dog, Dodger died. That was the start. i felt...left out with my church friends and I was thinking about going back to public school just to get it to stop.
Luckly, this year I felt like I at least had one friend at church who I enjoyed hanging out with. I then got confirmed, and I got into highschool. Highschool has been so much better so far. I feel much better. I can't wait to turn fifteen. I'm sure it'll be great.

~fire~

So....Thursday Classes were....interesting. Especially Physical Science. I will explain.
There we were. We just finished our test. We had gotten our schedules and we were about to go over them. When suddenly, off went the fire alarm. I thought it was just a drill. Everyone in every class was lining up and soon, a bunch of homeschoolers were lined up outside.
I found out later that it wasn't a drill. There was really smoke, but no one was harmed. Thank goodness!

We then got to drop eggs off of the teachers suburban. If our contraption saved the egg from breaking, we would get bonus points. The group I was in saved our egg Freeman.

~clara~

Name: Clara Punk
Age: 85 (in robot years)
Birthday: January 13
Lives in: A cukoo clock (that's in New York)
Siblings: None
Clara's book takes place in the 1800's, where she's part of the machinery in a cukoo clock. In the clock it's a steampunk wonderland, filled with people like her. The exact population is 76. They don't need much to keep the clock moving. All of them are part human part robot, but they're so small you can barely see them. Clara's right arm and left leg are the robot part of her, and her part is to repair the gears when needed. In her free time she invents new inventions. Then one day, her newest invention goes horribly wrong.

~febuary~

It's been awhile. But I've been up to much lately. Thursday classes have been the same. Not much has changed there.
But it's now Febuary. I like Febuary. It's a nice month I feel. Lent will be coming, but I'm not sure what I want to give up. I'll think of something.
As of tomorrow, it will be exactly one month until my birthday. I'll be turning fifteen, which I can't believe. But I'm looking forward to it.
My grandpa's birthday will be this month as well. I wish him a happy birthday.
It will be a nice month. I can feel it.

~dwarfs~

We dwarfs are wasted on cross country! We're natural sprinters. Very dangerous over short distances.

~sleep~

I must say, I've been sleeping well. It's quite abnormal for me.

My sleeping habits are pretty good. I say goodnight to everyone around nine. I stay up reading, writing in a journal or something for a half hour to forty-five minutes. Then I turn off my lights and go to sleep.
But I don't drift to sleep for another half hour to hour at least. Maybe it's because I have so much in my head or what. But I just can't go to sleep. Of course I do go to sleep, have some weird dream, and I wake up at least once in the night. Then I have to fall back asleep again, which can sometimes take awhile. Then I wake up in the morning, not wanting to get out of bed.

But lately, even with my excitements and thinking in my head, I've been getting great sleep! It's the same till I try to go to sleep. Then I've been falling asleep in ten minutes. I still wake up once, but I go back to sleep in an instant. Then I wake up refreshed.

Maybe I'm still recovering from staying up till 1:30 on new years, but I still managed to get about nine hours of sleep (I didn't wake up till ten). Maybe because it's the new year, my habits are changing when i don't even realize it. Or maybe because I'm spending less time off screens, it's providing a more restful sleep. All I know is I'm enjoying it.

~new~

It's the new year! Happy 2013 everyone! We survived the apocalypse!......not that there ever was one.
Let's look at my year in review real quick

January-This was the month I got into birds. We had gone to the national aviary and it was awesome and it was hard for my parents to pull me away.

February-I can't really remember what happened at the beginning of 2012. It's a full year ago. I remember going camping which was fun.

March-I turned 14 this month which was big for me. To me, that was when I was an official teenager. My Mom's birthday was just two weeks after that.

April-Thursday Classes ended and I knew the next year I would return as a highschooler. I looked back at that year and I knew next year would be awesome.

May-I started to wrap up the school and we celebrated my sisters 13th birthday. We saw my grandparents and all my cousins for one last time before they moved to Japan.

June-This was big. I had gotten confirmed with all my friends. I felt like a grown up and that day was perfect. If I could go back and enjoy any day from my life from this past year, it would be the day I was confirmed.

July- We had the annual fourth of July party at my grandparents, and it's a good time because we're able to see people we normally don't get to see.

August-We got to go back to Pittsburgh one last time before school started to see the Pirates game, which was awesome. It's a beautiful city and I would love to live there someday.

September-We had our annual trip to Cape Cod, and I started my freshman year. I returned to Thursday Classes and it was nice to start seeing all my friends again and to make some new ones.

October-Hurricane Sandy struck and we were lucky. We didn't loose power, no flooding, and we managed to watch three movies. I prayed for those who were affected by the Hurricane.

November-I was struggling a bit with math but I started to get back on my feet with it. After the bonfire the last month, it felt good to be a part of CBA and be with such awesome people.

December-Christmas and New Years Eve. Lots of traveling going on and much joy. We ended school for winter break and we celebrated my Dad's birthday. I also wasted my whole last day of 2012 playing halo for ten hours straight. I said I'd try it for ten minutes, that was it. Once I started, I couldn't pull away. I was ashamed, but it was fun.

I'm determined to make this year great. I've resolved lest time on screens, and to improve my mental health so I can live happier. I'll be turning 15, finish my first year of high school and start my sophomore year. 2013 will be great.
