~solorbeam~

When I was in second grade, I thought up of a super hero named Solorbeam. She protects earth and she has a certain power relating to each planet. Ever since 2nd grade, I've changed it up a little bit. For example, Solorbeam now not only protects earth, she protect all the planets and the stars. She now has different powers that aren't related to each of the planets. Here are some of them:

Solarbeam: A violet line of light that can send a person flying several yards with such force they can break a brick wall.

Sun beam: A line of light that can blind and stun a person.

Milky Way: A stream of sky dust dazes a person and can cause them to hallucinate.

Flying: I don't have to explain this, do I?

Solor explosion: A explosion so powerful that when the light is released, it can destroy anything, including Solorbeam!

The there are the good guys and bad guys. Each planet has a representative, good or bad. Leader of the good guys? Solorbeam (a.k.a Lola Mickey) from earth. Leader of the bad guys? Jasper of Jupiter. Which leaves Mercury, Venus, Mars, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.

Good Guys! Vala from Venus, and Sachiel from Saturn. Solorbeam is the leader of their side and protector of the galaxy, so she's technically not from a planet. Solorbeam doe not have very good social skills though, she she doesn't have many people on her side. The moon is technically on their side.

Bad Guys! Macy from Mercury, Magnus from Mars, Ulan from Uranus, and Naz from Neptune. Jasper from Jupiter is their leader.

Earth is not part of this group because their minds would not be able to take the complication of space, and since the declared Pluto isn't a planet, they were banned from the order, so they're a neutral party, like the moon. Pluto is powerful, so if the good guys can get them on their side, they can win.
That's all!

~excitment~

I've been almost too excited to write lately. So here are some things I'm excited for.

12/13/12- We will be seeing Rise of the Guardians, for the second time in a row. It;s an excellent movie. It made me believe in the tooth fairy, easter bunny, and Santa all over again! I never really believed in the sandman, but watching the movie made me believe in them.

12/15/12- I won an itunes gift card at the high school christmas party. My Dad said this weekend he'll download the software and we'll use the gist card. I can't wait to get some new songs!

Unknown Date (It's known. I jsut can't say what it is)- We'll get to see my grandparents! I can't wait to see them. I hope it snows!

12/25/12- It's christmas! It's always exciting!

1/1/13- It's the new year. I must think of some resolutions since I take awhile to think of some.

1/7/13- This, is, the, day. I'm miost excited for this day. It's the day I get my braces off! Just 26 more days! If super excited that they'll be off before Thursday Classes!
So yeah! I'm excited!

~limericks~

I've been writing limericks for school. They're quite fun. One of my favorites:
There once was a man from Peru,
Who dreamt he was eating his shoe
He woke with a fright
in the middle of the night
To find it was perfectly true!

Here's one I wrote:
A lion was loose in the zoo,
and what did this lion do?
It saw a zebra in a cage,
it was eating some sage
and now the zebra's gone too!

Limericks are fun.

~christmas~

I know, Christmas isn't for another month and a half, you don't have to nag me about it. But I learned last year, time goes by fast. In fact, Last Christmas doesn't seem like it was that long ago. I'm thinking about what I want, what I should buy my family members, what I should buy my friends, etc. It's hard shopping for your parents.

I only have three things on my christmas list, and one of them is kind of a joke.

My sister wants an iPhone. I don't plan to get it for her, but in return, she doesn't have to get me my parrot. Yes, I want a parrot.

Taffy. I might get my braces off before Christmas. If so, I will be EXTREMLY happy if I got a big box of salt water taffy all for myself. Yum yum! Of course, I would probably eat it in one day.

So yeah, the commercails of brainwashed me and got my thinking about Christmas. Someone is going to have to hit me real hard to bring me back down to earth.

~dances~

These dances at my church, I enjoy them. This is how it goes down.

Week before dance- I feel sick to my stomach about and do not want to go. But my sister wants to go, so I decide to go too.

Day of the dance-Thinking about it, still thinking about it....

Getting ready- This is when I freak out on the inside.

Arrive at the dance- I relax, but I don't acually go inside for a good ten minutes.

Acually inside- I relax as I stand in a corner talking to my friend who feels the same way about these dances as I do.

Later- I sing a bit and do a bit of swaying to some of the GOOD songs.

Later...- I get into a circle of five other people as we jump to a song that's horrible and great at the same time.

End- I had a good time.

This happens everytime. You'd expect after going to a bunch of these I wouldn't get all worked up before the dance, but no. I can't imagene how I'll act before the semi-formal in spring....

~candy~

When I grow up, I'm going to be a bad parent, because every year, around this time, my kids will be on the floor crying because Mommy ate their Halloween candy.
It's hard not to steal some of my sisters candy when her bag is just hanging there from the doorknob. I've stollen one or two pieces of chocolate, and you don't know how hard I'm fighting with myself not to steal a piece everytime I pass her bag. ugh.
I took my sister trick or treating this year. I ate all the candy I got, which wasn't a lot. I got six pieces, only because some of the neighbors insisted I take at least one piece. One even offered me a bag.
I have a terrible sweet tooth. Everytime I buy something from the snack bar at Thursday Classes, it's almost always chocolate. If it's not chocolate, it's one of thoose mini cakes. If it's not a mini cake, it's usually something like starburst, skittles, mentos, etc. I'm starting to develop self control when it comes to sweet things, so maybe I won't be so bad with stealing candy from my kids. Maybe...

~writing~

I like November. It's pretty, pleasant, and other things. This is the month I became serious on writing books. It was on the ninth Emma B. was born. Started out as a diary in 2010, and now, two years later, she's a short stories book. I am almost complete with the first one. Here are the characters that appear often in the Emma B series.

Emma B Simm- The main character. She's your average teenager who's not so average. She makes sure every day in unforgettable, but she makes herself unforgettable in the process. She has a way with words. You set yourself up, she say the right word at the right time, and you're in the palm of her hand.

Roxanne Welder- Emma Bs best friend. She going through a insecure stage in life where she's not sure who she is, and no one really know she exists. Luckily Emma B is there to yell something in the halls so all eyes are on them.

Samuel Jinx- Another one of Emma B's friends. He's humorous, a smart Alec, and annoying. He loves to tease Emma B. They get into a lot of arguments. Emma B enjoys it, because according to her, Samuel is the only person who stands a chance in beating her in a arguement.

Noah Ron- Another of Emma Bs friends and her next door nneighbor. He's sport, cool, and all the girls (except Emma B and Roxanne) seem to love him. He plays the drums, preferably at 7:00 am, which causes Emma B to wake up very cranky.

Zac Simm- One of Emma Bs older brothers. He's ssophomore in high school, and as Emma B would say, he's a complete slob. His side of the room has all kinds of fungi and Bactria growing under the junk on the floor. It's his side of the room Emma B is afraid to step in.

Logan Simm- Emma Bs other older brother, and the other half of Zac. He's not quite as a slob and is a bit more sophisticated (that's a joke). He does treat Emma B a bit better than Zac does, and he at least combs his hair everyday, while Zac does every other week.

~thursday~

Thursday Classes!! The last time I did this was my first day? Maybe last year? I can't remember! But either way, this post is over due.

8:00-9:00: Went over some Geometry. Waved to people coming through the door of CBA. That's it.
Yearbook: We continued to discuss the ladder (lay out) of the book. It's mostly so the people doing the mugs can start.
Pys. Science: Just Tori and I that day. We got some test back and we got our overall grade so far. I'm doing well. Then we had a super long lecture. It wasn't that bad. There was a lot of laughing when someone made fun of our teachers drawings.
Oil Painting: We painted bowls, and I got paint on myself before I even started painting....
Study Hall: Not much happening. It was some loud and lots of going ons. I did get some yodels (those things are good and addicting).
Guitar: Just three of us. We mostly talked about notes. The notes on the lines of the staff are E-G-B-D-F. You can remember it by Every Good Boy Does Fine. Mr. Abshire prefers Empty Garbage Before Dad Freaks.
Good day, as usual.

~freshman~

After Saturday when I went the High School bonfire, I'm thinking I'm really going to like high school. It will be easier than middle school I think. I'm becoming an adult. I'm getting more comfortable in my own skin. I'm finding what it is God wants me to do in life.
I wasn't so sure about this going into it. I now know I had nothing to worry about. Cedar Brook certainly helps the cause. Everyone is so welcoming and even though you may not personally know everyone, you know who everyone is and you're all friends.
High school is going to be fun. I only have four years of it, so I need to enjoy this while I can. Otherwise, I will regret it.

~waiting~

I'm waiting for a lot of things.
1. I'm waiting for Halloween. I will not be going through my neighborhood this year, but I will be dressing up. That's half the fun! I will be a candy corn. It's going to be awesome.
2. I'm waiting for leaves. I want them to fall off the trees and cover the ground. Then, my dad can rake them, and make pile. So then I can sit in them and watch the day go by.
3. I'm waiting for cold weather. I have a new coat. Plaid with gray, black and red. It has a hood, and I LOVE the style of it. It is a bit heavy, better for cold weather. Alas, it is not quite cold enough, so I'm waiting for it to get cold enough so I may wear it.
4. I'm waiting for an idea to spark. An idea for what? Beats me. Just an idea.
5. I'm waiting for Thursday classes. For yearbook, I will be doing one of the mug pages, and I have a design idea, and I want to share with everyone in my yearbook class!
6. I'm waiting for November. That's when my last orthodontist appointment was. Here's how it went down. My doctor said I was looking really good. I don't have to wear rubber bands anymore. They said I should have one more appointment and then I might get my braces off! There's a possibility I'll get them off before Christmas! If I do, then I just want a BIG box of salt water taffy for Christmas.
7. I'm waiting for snow. I know. That's not happening for a while. But I can just imagine all that snow on the ground.
Well. That's it. A lot of things to wait for.

~fall~

Happy Fall. Fall just might be my favorite season. A fresh, crisp air. Trees of all colors. Best, leaves to jump in.
This fall is going to be fun. It's the begining of my freshman year. I feel like I need to spend these next four years having as much fun as possible. It seems like a long time, but it will pass soon enough. I relized last year that I used to have a firm grasp on time, but now, time is slipping between my hands. 8th grade went by FAST. Which means 9th grade will go by faster. I need to enjoy this.
I need goals for fall. Well, I need to write. That's for sure.
Let's see....I will try hard at school. Make sure I do well.
Stop procrastinating. I've been doing that a lot lately. It needs to stop.
I will do my best in everything I'm doing really.
It's a good start. Happy Fall.

Oil Painting- We mostly talked about how to use the paints and gray scale.
Study Hall- I sate my sandwhich in two minutes because i was starving! Then I helped run the snack bar.
Guitar- and last but not least guitar. I'm in a class with different people so its a bit different, but not terribly so. It will be an interesting year.

She loves it, but she always wonders what it is like above them.

~100~

This is it! This is my One hundredth post. The question is....what do I post for my one hundredth post?
Two days ago I went to a Train concert. You know Train, right? Hey Soul Sister ring a bell? I've been listing some of their songs from their new album. I'm in love with this one called Mermaid. I'll have to share it sometime soon.
I'm preparing for my Yearbook retreat. I'm quite excited.
Tomorrow, my friend, his mom, my sister and I were going to see Paranorman, but my friend is REALLY sick, so that won't be happening.
Let's see, what else has been happening....oh! I've started school yesterday. I'm kind of happy, but not really. I'm doing geometry. It's a bit better than Algebra. I haven't come across x being a number.
Softball is starting up again! Exciting! We have our second practice tonight. I can't wait.
Well, thats all I can think of. I will say this, our Annual trip to Cape Cod is coming up! Can't wait!

~pitt~

I know I ddin't do a profile yesterday, and I won't be doing that today either. You see, I was in Pittsburgh this weekend, and we got back this evening. Quite a fun trip. My photos are uploading, so during that time, I'll tell you what we did.
The day we left we went straight to a baseball game. Pirates vs Padres. It was exciting! Pirates won, 11 to 5. Ouch! Watching it made me a Pirates fan! Today we visited University of Pitt. I'm thinking about going there.

Well, my photos have finished. So here they are!

My Dad was sleeping and his mouth was open. I couldn't resit!
This is Kevin the pigeon.

The field! The crowd is staring to build!
My Hot Dog. I didn't realize how big it would be. I managed to eat it, but just barely.
Let the game begin. (Actually, it already started. Padres were leading by 5 points and the Pirites were having a pep talk.)
Later in the Game, the Padres catcher giving the pitcher advise, because the Pirites are coming from behind.
The Short stop brought the crowd to its feet when he hit the grand slam!
And the end of the game.
It was a fun trip.

~tree~

I look out my bedroom window and I see on of my favorite trees right there. It's small, but I can see it's green leaves when I look out at it.
I'm afraid this tree isn't doing to well. It is loosing it's leaves. The ones that manged to stay on are turning yellow. It has never done that this early. It make me unhappy, to the tree like this.
I think of it, at the end of spring, my Dad thought the leaves on the tree didn't look as green, or as big. I didn't notice. I'm thinking he was right. It's a shame really.

~dad~

My Dad is funny. We have conversations that turn into funny jokes. It's those that I remember. Here are some of my favorite conversations with him:

Me: You need to see this cover of What Makes You Beautiful

Me: *hiccup* Why are my hiccups so loud

Dad: Who's Christina Perri again?
Me: Christina Perri is Christina Perri.
Dad: Thanks Rita. I now have a clear description of her.

Me: Good night! I'm sleeping in til ten!
Dad: No you're not.
*next morning*
Dad: Rita! Get up! It's 9:55! I told you I wouldn't let you get up at ten.

~change~

You know, I sometimes can't help it. I look at my blog and decide it's old. I need to change it a bit. So I re-did the background. Although the first one wasn't bad, I think this one looks very nice.
It changes as I change. My interest and personallity have changed over the years, but I have found three things I love, and probably always will. Softball of course, my book writing, and birds.
It's hard to believe it's already half way through the summer. Enjoy the rest everyone!

~dreams~

They have returned. My Thursday Class dreams.
I always have them during the school year, and sometimes in the summer. But I've been having a lot of them latley.
My dreams are....weird. They don't make any sense, stuff that wouldn't happen in real life happen, and all that other stuff. Here is my most normal dream. which I had end of May:
It's confirmation day, and everything went well, except I was the only one saying anything, our pastor was a...hippie, and instead of candles, they gave us fireballs. Other than that, pretty normal.
In my Thursday class dreams, it's only people I know from Thursday classes that are in it, and in Church dreams only church friends, and in Softball dreams, only softball friends. But lately one of my church friends keeps ending up in my dreams, even when they don't belong. I can't figure out why.

~next~

Coming up next it Rita's life, helping with Choir Camp! That's what a he'd say if there was a newscaster announcing my life.

Yes, next week is choir camp. I will be helping the Vibrant Vibrations. This camp is different than VBS.
For one thing, Choir Camp last the whole day. It's for 3-6 graders. And it's all in one room. One similar thing is that there is a different theme each year, but Choir Camp just uses the same theme each year.

It's going to be fun.

~schedule~

I've got it! What, you may ask. Oh, not much. Just my thursday class schedule. Hard to believe that this will be year three of thursday classes, and that I'll be in the 9th grade.

I think, Thursday Classes saved me. Before my Mom had told me about it, I was thinking about going back to public school. Maybe finish middle school here, but then for high school go back. Now that I've been to Thursday classes, I'm going to keep homeschooling through High School.

Anyway, here is my schedule for 2012-13
10-Yearbook
11-Pysical Science
12-Pysical Science (It's a two hour class)
1- Oil Painting
2-Study/Guitar
3-Study Hall/Guitar

We haven't quite worked out guitar yet, but I'm going to do it. The reason 3 o' clock is an option is because Stella will have a class at 3. I'm excited for this year. I will have a friend who is going into the 7th grade, and he will be joining Stella and I. It's exciting.

~doings~

I'm brain storming what fun things to do this summer aside from our trips.

In about two weeks I'm helping with Choir Camp, which is another camp at my church, and sometime this month we'll be going on a long bike ride. August we'll be going to the Gettysburg campsite, and shortly after, to Pittsburgh to see a Pirtites game.

I have my summer reading list. my mom usually gives prizes, but this year I get a dollar for every book I read. I've been reading Rebecca, but I haven't been enjoying it. Frankly, it's quite boring. So I'm taking a break from that book. I'm going through my list to see what other books I have to read.

Softball used to control my summer. We'd have two practices a week, and tournaments on Sundays, that would take up the whole day. This summer, they couldn't get a summer team together, so no softball this summer. I'm upset, because I was looking forward to the tournaments, but in a way I'm glad. I can stand being in catchers gear for three games in 90 degree heat, but once it reaches 100, well, I'll play a game and a half, but not three.

So what to do this summer besides the trips? Write. Read. Maybe go to the pool one weekend. I will have a good summer. I'm determened to!

~fourth~

Happy 4th! Due to some....problems....we weren't able to go to the carnival until today. We just got back. It was a great time. They had some new rides, but in exchange they got rid of some of my favorite rides, like the Star Ship, Pirate Ship, and Bumper Cars. Here is what I did, and how I felt.

Round-Up: It's basically the Star Ship. It spins so fast that you are stuck against the wall, but it tilts to the side, and it looks like a satellite.

Rock Star: There is a row of chairs. It rock from side to side and when it get to the top it goes back down and around. It does not go upside down.

Tornado: There is a group of four chairs and it basically goes around in a circle. I'd say it was kind of boring.

Ferris Wheel: Always a good time. I love the view when you get to the top.

Dels Lemonade: I got some Del's lemonade while I watched my sister and cousin do some bunge jumping.

Rock Star 2: My cousin and I went on this ride again.

Round-Up 2: Look above.

Ballon Darts: I love this game. I got three darts. I threw my first one and of course, it hit the only spot there weren't any ballons. The venter handed the dart back to me and said 'I'll give you another shot with this dart. Now if you're going to throw like a girl, throw like a big girl.' That kind of motivaded me and I popped ballons with all three of my darts. I got a pink dog with a heart that said 'I Love You'

Zipper: Never agian. No matter how much you beg me, I will not be going on this ride ever again. It's a log pole that turns. You get in a cage. The cage keeps flipping everywhere. It's so scary. My cousin and I agreed that we would go on togehter. We were screaming so loudly. When we got off, I was shaking, and scared, but I didn't feel sick. My cousin on the other hand...

Cotton Candy: I got Cotton Candy! What else is there to say?

Ducks: I had two dollars left after that, so I went to a game where you pick a duck, is it has a S, you get a small prize, M=Medium, L=Large, and XL=Extra Large. I got a L, so I picked a turtle.
It was a fun day at the carnival.

~carnival~

July 2nd, 2012. Two more days.
4th of July is one of my favorite holidays. The fireworks! The celebrations! Everything!
Today, we will be going to one of my favorite traditions, the carnival!
Every year we go to a carnival. They have rides and games that are always fun to do. I like trying a different thing each time. Last year I tried out a ride called the orbiter, and the year before I tried the Star Ship. I'm not sure what I will try this year. It just depends what's new.
I do know which ride I will be going on this year, I'm just not sure in what order, and some of them I'll probably go on twice.
Ferris Wheel (Classic)
Star Ship (It's awesome)
Orbiter (Extreme)
Hang Glider (It was surprisenly fun)
Bump Cars (Always a good time)
Pirite Ship (I may go further in the back this time)
Those are one I'll defainlly be going on. I may get there and see another ride that I forgot about and then I'll go on there as well. It jsut depends. Well, I must get ready for the day.

~headache~

I have found a way to give myself an headache...accidentally, of course. I was thinking of a book idea, but then I thought 'STOP!' and I started to fight the feeling, and I got a headache.

I feel guilty. I remember the formings of the ideas, but I haven't developed it yet. I feel kind of guilty about it. I can't decide whether to develop the story, or leave it be until I catch up on writing. What do you guys think?

~camp~

Tomorrow is the start of VBS (Vacation Bible School) at my church. A day camp through out the week for those in PreK-5th grade. Sine I am to old to be a camper, I'll be a Junior counselor.
It is Hard to believe it is my third year of helping already! I remember when I first started.

2010- My Mom was always the Rec leader. I loved to go to that class because I would get to see my Mom. So In knew that I wanted to be junior counselor with her. That was a fun year. I remember the last day. We were doing the mento and coca-cola experiment. We had tubes which we would stick the mentos in. Then we would pull the pin, run, and watch the coke blow sky-high. Well, we were doing four at a time. So the four of us (me and the other junior counselors) were getting ready. Well, VJ accidentally pulled his pin. The other two noticed and ran, but I didn't. He tried to stop it with his thumb. I got sprayed with coca-cola.

2011- I decided to help with Rec again. That year was HOT! So we didn't do as many running activities, but more science activities. We made slime one day, and we also made ice cream on the last day.

This year- This year, I decided to do something different. I'm helping the littlest kids, and I believe my friend Julia will be helping as well. This is going to be a fun year!

~goals~

Ah....summer. I'm not officially on summer break yet. I'm almost done with school though. This summer, instead of making a list of activities I want to do, I set myself two goals. I think I can do it.

Goal #1: Learn to Bat Left Handed
I am one-hundred percent right-handed. No doubt about it. Everything I do I'm doing it right handed. Writing, throwing, and batting. In softball, there is a hit called 'The Slap'. What you do, is when the ball is being pitched, you run toward it and sort of "slap" the ball. It normally does toward the Third Base man. Guess which batters normally do 'The Slap'. Left Handers. While Right handers can slap, it doesn't work as well. The ball would probably go toward the First base man, which is what we don't want. Nobody on our team is left handed. So I decided that over the summer, during sort of the break in the season, I was going to teach myself how to bat lefty. Of course, I would still be a righty, but also a lefty. It is said that:
1: Lefties tend to trip up the pitcher since there aren't a lot of them
2: Lefties are closer to first base then the righties, so they don't have to take an extra step
I think I can do it. I'm going little by little. Here is my plan
1: Find out what the batting stance for lefties is (Probably the same for righties\s, just in reverse)
2: Practice swinging leftie
3: Once it stops feeling weird, try hitting balls leftie
So there is Goal #1

Goal #2: WRITE!
The fact is, I have a lot of book ideas, and I'm still thinking of some! This normally wouldn't be a bad thing. But right now, it is. I'm not writing them fast enough. Remember that book idea I had back in April? Sandy Zendas? I have had four more book ideas since. One of them I thought of two days ago! So I also need to do A LOT of writing. I need to write like my life depends on it!

~confirmed~

Yesterday was the day. I got confirmed. I'm now in charge of my faith. Here is my day from yesterday.
On Saturday, we actually had a confirmation dinner, where all the confirmans and their families come for a dinner. My family and I shared a table with my friend and his family.
We shared our verses and what they meant to us. Sort of like our speeches. Every ones went well. Some lasted ten seconds, maybe less. Most lasted half a minute. One or two lasted nearly a minute....maybe two.
Well, I woke up the next day shaking, thinking 'This is it.'. I got up and got ready. I had to be there at ten, an hour before the service. So my mom and cousin went with me while my dad, sister, grandparents, and the rest of my cousins came about an hour later. I got in my robe and waited in the back of the church. We walked up the isle and into our pews. We walked up to the alter and knealed. We recieve our candles and we went back to the pews.

Of course, that was just the service. Afterwards we got panera and cupcakes and went home for some fun. I got a fancier charm braclet which is something I've always wanted. Yes, it was great.

~experiment~

I must share an experiment I am doing!
One of my favorite authors, Rick Riordan, has written some of my favorite books. One thing I like about them is that there are a couple of romance scenes every once and a while. I've always toyed with the idea of maybe adding some romance somewhere, because I know I'm going to do it eventually, and I might as well try it out.
A book I'm writing now takes place in the Middle Ages. when people were courting, people would arrange "dates" for their children. My main charater is fourteen, and back then that was about the age people got married. So I started to work.
I hope this will go well. I don't have much experience, but I've studied Rick Riordans parts, and I think I can do this. Wish me luck!

~fieldtrip~

We went on a field trip on Tuesday. We went to Strathmore to see....the dogs. Dogs here dogs there, they're so cute! Sadly, they do not allow pictures inside the exhibit, otherwise I would've taken photos. But....they didn't say anything about OUTSIDE.
There is the actual building, of course.
....and here is me, my friend, Adian, and Stella.
Well, that is all that I took.

~hair~

I felt like doing something different with my hair. So I started playing with the idea of dying it.
It's this thing called ColorMe. It's basically just paint that comes out after one shampoo. I got a tube of the stuff so I can keep putting it on.

~adult~

High school. When September comes along, I'll be in High school. Kind of a scary thought. tonight I'll have an orentation for everyone who is going into the 9th grade. We kind talk about high school credits, what our schedule should be like, stuff like that.

I don't really want to go to high school, because that means I'll just be closer to being an adult. Sometimes I wish I was still a little girl, and that I was still sitting in my Mom's lap.

On the other hand, I'm excited. Because being a step closer to being an adult isn't a bad thing. I think the thought is just a little scary to me at the moment. You'll become more responsible. You'll become you're own person, where you make your own decisions. That isn't bad at all.

Anyway, I should go now.

~serpent~

It is mine, and I got it much quicker than the second one, and I DIDN'T find at Target this time either. Instead, I was smart, and got it the quickest way possible! I ordered it from.....amazon.
Ok, not the most glorious way, but oh well! I have the book, and only three days after it came out. Not bad.
This shall be! A glorious! 401 pages!

~confirmation~

Well, after two years, it's finally here. Ok, it's not for another month, but with everything going on, it feels like it's here. My Confirmation.
Here's the deal. When we were baptized, our parents promised to help us grow in faith and to walk as a child of God. Now we're in eighth grade, and the time has come, where WE are taking our faith in our own hands. We decide how we are going to live in God. How we are going to recognize God in our everyday lives.
I was excited for this day since the 6th grade, but now that it's here....gosh. I'm making a promise to grow in faith by myself without any help. It's scary. But I think I'm ready. I feel I've taken my own faith and I'm doing what I will promise to do already. I feel I have been since the beginning of 7th grade.
It started when my dog died. I was devastated. But now, I see it happened for a reason. I got a new aspect on life. I started to recognize God around me and in everything I do. I now understand God has a plan for me, and he makes things happen, good and bad, to keep us on the right path. If my dog had NOT died, I'd probably still be where I was in the 6th grade. I wouldn't be ready for my Confirmation, I don't think.
Yes, I'm ready. I have to go to an interview with the Pastors at my church later, and I must prepare.

~tap~

*tap*tap*tap*tap*
Queen Ima does this a lot on her throne. Book writing.
Oh what to write here, on this page. It's mine to write on. I can say whatever I want. When I'm writing my books, I just write. Here, I seem to draw a blank.
*tap*tap*tap*tap* go the keys on my keyboard when I write my books. Here, it is more like:
*tap*tap*tap*.....erase*tap*tap*tap*.......erase. Much different.
It takes me three-five minutes to write a full page of a book. Here, it can take me ten minutes to finish this whole post. Slow!
In softball it's different. Instead of *tap* when you hit a ball, it goes *BAM*
Anyway, it is late and I'm starting to dose off.

~tradition~

I've had a grumpy week. I can't quite explain why, I just have. I don't have my dear Thursday Classes anymore, and I'm missing my friends. Last week I didn't play any softball, which was depressing. But I just don't know.

I need to get in a good mood. I hope tomorrow will make things better. My friends birthday is coming up. We have a tradition. My birthday is in March. My friends is in April. My sisters is in May. When one of our birthdays comes around, we go to lunch, get some ice cream, and go see a movie. Who chooses depends on whose birthday it is. my birthday I chose 'The Lorax'. My friend has chosen 'Pirites! Band of Misfits!' It looks funny, but of course, it's the same creators of Wallace and Gromit, which are awesome, so it'll be good.

~shakesphere~

I finished reading Romeo and Juliet for school today. It STUNK!

Allow me to explain. Part of the reason I don't like the story is because the lovey-dovey stuff, isn't my thing. That, and I focused mostly on when they killed themselves because neither one could stand to live without the other. BLECH!

Worst of all, I have to watch two movies. one of the actual play, and West Side Story, a movie based on the play. Great......

~chocolate~

I forgot. On Easter Sunday I accomplished numbers 6, 8, and 13 on my list of things to do this spring. Get chocolate, get more chocolate, and get even more chocolate.
I got a lot of chocolate on Easter......although I must confess I ate all of it. Oh well. Maybe I'll get some more sometime!

~softball~

I have quite a few hobbies that I enjoy. One of my favorites is one I've been since the beginning of first grade. Softball. It is one of my favorite things, by far. I love how the adrenaline rushes through you when you're running from base to base, the sound the ball makes when it whams into the glove, and the feeling of pleasure you get when you the ball you hit goes sailing into the outfield. I love these things of softball.

Today we had a double header. two back to back games with only a five minute break in between the two. Barely enough time to eat your sandwich. we won the first game easily. Although we didn't win the second game, we played a great game.

My positions are catcher, and outfield. To day, I played catcher for all the innings in the first game, and all but two in the second game. It's quite tiring to be out there in the sun with all that equipment on and basically doing a bunch of squats over and over again. It is quite fun though. You got to be a brick wall. Let nothing get behind you.
I can't wait for our next double header.

~sitting~

Sitting. That is what I've been doing recently. I'm doing it now. On Friday we went to  Rhode Island to see our grandparents, and the trip is seven hours. So I sat nearly all day on Friday.

On Saturday my grandma handed me a collection of three DVD's called 'Mr. Bean'. It was so funny that my sister and I sat in front of the TV all day watching them all.

Sunday was Easter, so I sat by my Easter basket most of the day and ate all my jellybeans and most of my chocolate.

Monday my Mom said 'Hey, let's go see the Hunger Games today!' So we sat in the car half an hour to get to the theater, then we spent two hours in the theater (good movie by the way) and then we sat for another half and hour on the way back.

I can't remember what I did Tuesday, but it probably involved some sitting.

Wednesday we sat in the car another seven hours on our way home.

Then yesterday we had to go o the orientation for Thursday Classes. We drove there, sat through an orientation, then we sat to eat at McDonalds, then we drove back, then we sat through three orientations, then we drove to Sears, then we drove BACK to the orientation, I sat while Stella sat through two more orientations, then we drove to collage park, then we drove home.

Today we drove here to Havre de Grace which took at least an hour, and so far I've been sitting here reading or something. Hope your day doesn't involve as much sitting as my week.

~last~

Crazy. Fun. Sad. Awesome. Some words to describe the last day of Thursday Classes for the year. I will dearly miss all of my friends there. I don't think I can survive till September. I've thought about some classes for next year, but I will get to that later. For now, here is my last post about classes for some time.

Guitar: Well, Mr. Abshire gave us back our finial test, and for the most part we jammed and talked about cellos, dogs, and comedians.

Journalism: We put together the very last issue of the Middle School Movement. Then we played 'Man Bites Dog'. Basically Mrs. Branham gives each pair five cards. Each card has a word that is worth points. You try to make a headline that makes sense out of the words you are given. Some of the headlines included 'Singer Burns Fake Lady' and 'Blind Actress Runs of with Mob Boss'

Watercolor: We had our finial test for water color. A sky wash. Then we showed the class one of our best and favorite paintings. I got the whole class to sign a card for out teacher, Mrs. Norman, and she loved it.

Improv: I lost rock paper scicors for the second time in a row, and for the forth time, maybe fifth, this semester. Penalty each time: You must sing the Improv song. I must say it felt special to lose this time because I was one of the last four people to sing the Improv song for the year.

Volleyball: We had our game against the set up crew. It was us smaller, skinny girls vs the TALL ( I mean tall) high school guys. Yet, the team I was on, team 1, managed to beat them. Yay!

So that was the last day. I do have some idea of the classes I want to take next year....
Physical Science is a definite yes. So is Guitar if I can fit it into my schedule. Oil Painting is a probably. Volleyball depends on my other classes and when I manage to get a study hall.  And Yearbook is a maybe. I'll decide on that one AFTER the orentation this Thursday.

~book~

Number 7 on my list of things to do during Spring Time: Stop coming up of book ideas until I catch up a bit on writing. Well, I'm sorry to say I have not followed this one and it is now what I shall call 'Terminated'
I couldn't help myself.  I tried to stop myself, but once I start thinking, I can't stop. This new book, the beginnings of the idea were just so good it over came me. I had to continue.
Sandy Zendas is the main characters name, and she and her twin brother Andy will go on an adventure they will never forget. That's all I'll say about this new book. Ah, the art of leaving people hanging....
It's hard to describe how I think of book ideas. I don't try to think of one, I let them come to me. They come to me at the strangest times. One of my best book ideas I thought of while staring at the ceiling trying to sleep. Another one looking out the car window. They come at times when I'm alone and I have time to think to myself. For example, another book idea I thought of during the church sermon. But I've never had an idea come during classes. There is WAY to much going on there for me to possibly focus.
Well, I'll let you all go now.

~enjoyment~

I enjoy the...simple things in life. The things people don't think about much. Christmas this past year, a lot of people were saying how they got all these cool gadgets. Me, none for me. I got simple, fun little things. The closest gift to technology I received was the CD. So, here are some simple little enjoyments I have.
Ah, my friends the penguins from the Aviary. I do know what kind of penguin they are, but it'd be wrong to share online. Ah a little pleasure I have.
There are my Moms iris's blooming in the garden. My favorite flower, especially if purple.
My side table of dogs. It's sort made to remember my two faithful dogs, Billie and Dodger.
Rick Riordan books. I have a whole shelf just for them. Obsession? Maybe....
Need I say more?
The piano is definably toward the top of the list of pleasures.
And of course, my camera. Oh, it is one of the greatest things ever.
I hoped you enjoyed this very much.

~sat~

Today I started with the Iowa testing, and I will continue it tomorrow. Our SAT's aren't really for us, it's for our parents to see what they're doing wrong.
Anyway, I got a seat next to my friend Mackenzie. I saw three of my other friends too. Today was mostly the Language Arts part of the test, and Language Arts is NOT my strong suit. I'm more of a Math type of person. But that part comes tomorrow.
They say we can raise our hands if we have a question and someone will come help you, but most of the hands went up when we were filling out our information, like our name, when we were born, and all that stuff. Barely any hands went up during the actual test.
Anyway, please pray I survive tomorrow.

~19~

So now that spring has started, I better get started on my list. Tonight, I will accomplish #19: See all my old nieghborhood friends.
We're having a potluck tonight, and my mom invited all the old neighbors. They can all come. So tonight, it'll be just like the old days. Running around having fun. It'll be great.
All my old neighbors moved away so then I was all alone. It's been awhile since I've seen them all. At least a year. Everyone will be different but it'll be fun. I can't wait.

~mom~

Today is my moms' birthday. I love how she has been there for me all fourteen years of my life, and she always will be.
I made her a card (because homemade ones are the best) with a poem I wrote:
I know you'll be there
I feel safe in you arms
I know you'll protect me
From all of lifes harms
I got her a bracelet with tiny little stones strung on it, and in the middle a heart with a 'B' on it. I got it on our recent trip to Great Wolf Lodge. My sister and I went with a friend and his family, so it was a perfect time to see if I could find something for her birthday.
I walked in the gift shop and saw it, and it was the only one with a 'B' on it. Since I was planning to buy it the next day, I hid behind the same three necklaces that instead had the name 'Erin' on it to grantee it would still be there when I went back.
Anyway, I hope my Mom has an amazing birthday. I love her.

~thursday~

Everyone has a special link at classes. Although you may not personally know everybody there, everyone there is friends with everyone.

Guitar: In guitar we mostly reviewed on some of the basic things, since there will be a test in two weeks. Our homework, is to do something with our guitar, as long as we DON'T smack someone in the head with, even though it can be tempting.

Journalism: In journalism we had to bring in a comic strip that we read and enjoy. It wasn't a surprise when more than one person brought in the same comic strip. Four people brought in Peanuts. Three people did Garfield. I did Pearls Before Swine. Someone did Baby Blues, someone did Pickles, and someone did Foxtrot. That's all I can remember. Then we talked about Editorial Cartoons. We have to do one that homeschooling middle schoolers can relate too.

Watercolor: We went down to the farm right next to the church we have classes and we got to paint whatever we wanted (as long as we didn't get in the way ). My friends Erin, Emile and I painted the chickens. When we first got there, the chickens thought we had food so they all crowded around the fence and they were really loud. Then they figured out we didn't have food so the started walking off.

Improv: In Improv we played a new game. Mrs. Abbot chooses a fairy tale. She figures out how many characters we need and she calls up that many volunteers. Then they have to reenact it in One minute Thirty seconds. Then they do it again but in a minute. Then thirty seconds, fifteen seconds, and last but not least, five seconds. You can image how crazy it is when it gets down to five seconds. I was Little Red Riding Hood, and when it got down to fifteen seconds, Ibi, who was the woodsman, decided it would be quicker to just shoot the wolf with a gun, than to walk up and chop off it's head.

Volleyball: We played against Hampshire View. our team almost beat them. We lost by two points. most of the kids in study hall came out to watch us play. It was a fun day.
